Transferring  a work permit is quite similar to renewing one.  In addition to the renewal work permit process, the applicant will need a release letter from their former employer, updated immigration stamp, a letter of resignation (from applicant) and work permit card.

The applicant will also need to inform Immigration Department, Virgin Islands Government of the termination with previous employment as well as new job offer.  Applicants are usually required to leave the Territory while the new work permit is being processed and allowed to re-enter upon completion.
