1. The Employer/Agent/Representative must collect approved Labour Clearance(s) in duplicate from the Immigration Department's Headquarters and/or Processing Unit.
2. The Employer/Agent/Representative must retain copy of the Labour Clearance(s) and forward the original copy along with the Medical Form (if applicable), to the perspective employee(s)
3. The perspective employee(s) should complete the Medical Form overseas and obtain all items as indicated with an X in subsection 2 of the Labour Clearance.
4. The perspective employee(s) must present all the required documents indicated on the Labour Clearance at the Port of Entry for inspection purposes.
Documents include (where applicable):
- A certificate of health, showing that the perspective employee is not suffering from any communicable disease, mental illness or abuse of drugs.
- The medical certificate should be accompanied by the following test results:
- VDRL
- Ova or Parasites in stool
- Skin test for tuberculosis
- The medical certificate should be accompanied by the following test results:
- A recent certificate from Chief of Police at port of embarkation
- Two recent passport sized photographs
- Evidence of prearranged accommodation and return air ticket to homeland
- A Visa for the British Virgin Islands
5. The Employer/Agent/Representative must meet the perspective employee(s) on arrival at the Port of Entry with a copy of the Labour Clearance.
6. Completed Medical Forms must be submitted to the Immigration Officer at the Port of Entry, as failure to do so by an immigrant, will result in refusal of leave to land by the Immigration Officer
7. Labour Clearances and Medical Forms are valid for 3 months.
8. If the Labour Clearance expires prior to the perspective employee(s) entering the Territory, the Employer/Agent/Representative must take a copy of the Labour Clearance along with a letter addressed to the Commissioner of Labour requesting a reissue of the Clearance.
9. The reissued Labour Clearance(s) must be resubmitted to the Immigration Department for processing and repeat instructions from 1 through 7.
