Overview
Parts & Power Ltd is seeking a Service Engineer.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintenance and repair of equipment, including but not limited to diesel engines, air conditioners & refrigeration appliances and equipment, excavation equipment, hydraulics, Automatic Transfer Switches, AC Power Generators, electrical and electronic equipment.
- Welding and fabrication
- Training of other employees
- Recording of time and Service Reports for work performed, justifying time spent
- Repair and maintenance of shop facilities, tools and equipment
- Compute clients’ bills and collect payment on same
- Company vehicle maintenance and repair
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Five (5) or more years’ experience performing the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Skilled in troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
- Able to respond quickly in dynamic environments.
- Familiarity with diesel engines and hydraulic equipment
- Minimum three years (3) driving experience.
- Five (5) CXC/GCE subjects including English Language and Mathematics (equivalent examination body will be considered)
- Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
- Leading engine brands technician certifications
Skills and Abilities
- Have the ability to professionally and effectively communicate via oral and written communication.
- Proficiency in the use of the computer and other standard office machinery.
- Be able to function under pressure.
- Able to interpret and apply technical information
- A team player
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Trouble shooting and Investigative skills (technical)
- Holder of a valid standard transmission driver’s license
