VACANCY – PRIVATE-DUTY NURSE/NURSING ASSISTANT
Applications are invited for a full-time, live-in Nurse or Nursing Assistant to provide dedicated home care to an elderly gentleman in Tortola.
Responsibilities include monitoring the patient’s health and general condition; assisting with mobility and activities of daily living; supporting medication management, nutrition and hydration; assisting with prescribed exercises and supporting physical therapy programmes; maintaining appropriate care records; accompanying the patient to medical appointments as required; and liaising with the family and healthcare professionals regarding his care.
Applicants should be a Registered Nurse (RN) or suitably trained Nursing Assistant/Nurse Aide, with appropriate qualifications and experience in elderly patient care.
Experience in private-duty or home care and in caring for persons with reduced mobility or physical deconditioning would be an asset. Applicants should be compassionate, dependable and trustworthy, with good communication and observation skills.
This is a full-time, live-in position with furnished accommodation provided, operating on a split-duty arrangement with relief coverage during agreed periods of rest and time off.
The position requires flexibility to work days, nights and weekends in accordance with the agreed split-duty schedule.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
