Overview
Grant Thornton (British Virgin Islands) Limited invites applications for the position of Assistant Manager or Manager within its Insolvency, Recovery and Reorganisation practice.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable significant experience working on insolvency matters, including asset realisation, investigations into company affairs, complex investigations, investigation and pursuit of claims, restructuring, and reporting to stakeholders. The role is focused on progressing appointments in a compliant, timely, and cost-efficient manner.
Depending on level and experience, the successful applicant will be expected to:
- Proactively manage and progress insolvency, recovery, and reorganization engagements.
- Work independently on allocated workstreams and manage day-to-day case administration.
- Assist with or lead complex investigations and asset recovery matters.
- Prepare reports and communications for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute significantly to the firm’s business development and marketing initiatives.
- Support the development, mentoring, and supervision of junior staff.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- A minimum of 5–6 years’ experience in insolvency, recovery, restructuring, or reorganization matters, with the level of appointment dependent on experience and demonstrated capability.
- A proven ability to proactively manage and progress cases and to work independently while contributing effectively within larger engagement teams.
- An internationally recognized chartered accounting or insolvency qualification, or be part-qualified with substantial relevant experience for Assistant Manager level. Full qualification is preferred for Manager level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel as required.
